Makhadzi opens up about funding the music video for her upcoming single, “Number 1”.

The song featuring Nigerian singer, Iyanya and Prince Benza will be released this Friday, alongside its music video.

Taking to Facebook, the South African musician revealed that she spent half a million on the music video for the song, which will be released this week.

She is excited about the collaboration as it encourages collaboration among African artists.

Makhadzi also revealed that the video was shot in Nigeria.

“Spent half a million in this music video. we call this investing in your craft. #takenotes. I can’t wait for you all to watch this. For the first time in my career, my fans going to watch expensive and exclusive music video. #no1 Number1 music video was short by Ghana directors in Nigeria. AFRICA WE ARE 1.”
